Depression is a serious problem. If not addressed right at the beginning it takes over individuals mind and actions and soon start to command and control the victim by becoming a inner voice. No one other than the victim will ever come to know the destructive power of this hidden voice until the tragic end. Try to be content, happy ,loving and kind to yourself and others. May be this will help. But most importantly seek professional support.

Its easy to say that suicide is not the solution or to speculate on the reason for suicide. Only the person going through depression knows what it feels like. The sooner we accept that mental health is important and that mental illnesses are real and can be treated, many lives can be saved.

Here nothing is mentioned about his father. Mother is a nurse, probably working in three shifts. He is an only child, no siblings. Long term feeling of loneliness, can ultimately lead to depression. Though, the doctor advised to have a change of atmosphere, the best thing would have been, the mother's company in the new atmosphere would have been more helpful. Of course, mother had to go to work, hence she allowed his friend to take him.

Mother and the boy are victims of circumstances. May his soul rest in peace. May God give her courage to go through this loss.
