Sep 24: Dakshina Kannada reports 266 fresh corona infections, 2 deaths; Udupi records 74 new cases

Mangaluru/Udupi, Sep 24: Dakshina Kannada reported 266 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, with two deaths

Over 10 people were discharged on Thursday. Meanwhile, the total discharges in the district recorded were 15,726. 

As many as 21,030 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including 266 on Wednesday, and 4,808 cases are currently active.

As per the state bulletin, 494 deaths have occurred so far in the district, including two on Thursday.

Udupi
 
As per the state health bulletin, Udupi reported 74 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday, along with zero deaths.

There were 198 discharges recorded on Thursday. Meanwhile, the total discharges in the district recorded were 14,176. 

As many as 15,914 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including 74 on Thursday, and 1,595 cases are currently active. As per the state bulletin, 143 deaths have occurred so far in the district.

    With opening of bars restaurants and malls where people crowd there will be a flareup of infection!

    This has been observed in Japan where infections have resurged:
