Very sad.It meets always the poor and daily wagers.when the contractor doesnt take care of workers and their work,it happens.Hope his family gets some compansation..second the wall too was not built properly and has to know in coastal areas rain water drains away through side ways.If enough place is not between the wall and drainage canal then such disaster will happen.Always check up your walls.May his soul rest in peace.

First legal action should be taken on them for not following proper precaution and safety....then govt will look after them...please give proper compensation.

    Sanjay ,

Jagadish, who hired Umesh, will surely be knowing his responsibility. If the deceased family is not adequately compensated then the matter of legal action arises.

During heavy rain, to avoid such incident, Jagadish should have avoided employing coolies for such work. Even coolies by their wisdom should stop doing such work during the heavy continuous rain. RIP Umesh.
