Very sad.It meets always the poor and daily wagers.when the contractor doesnt take care of workers and their work,it happens.Hope his family gets some compansation..second the wall too was not built properly and steady.one has to know in coastal areas rain water drains away through side ways.If enough place is not between the wall and drainage canal then such disaster will happen.Always check up your walls.May his soul rest in peace.

    Sanjay ,

Jagadish, who hired Umesh, will surely be knowing his responsibility. If the deceased family is not adequately compensated then the matter of legal action arises.

During heavy rain, to avoid such incident, Jagadish should have avoided employing coolies for such work. Even coolies by their wisdom should stop doing such work during the heavy continuous rain. RIP Umesh.
