Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (ANK)

Mangaluru, Aug 16: The entry roads leading to Kerala have been opened as per the new orders. The people travelling undertaking interstate travel will also be required to compulsorily follow certain guidelines.

The commuters will have to secure monthly passes from the local gram panchayat/municipality/town panchayat for daily travel. Once they have obtained the pass, they must record their details at the checkpost on entering and exiting the border.

The people travelling will also have to undergo medical check-up and screening at the checkpost.

As per the guidelines, those who are willing to stay in Dakshina Kannada from Kerala are required to avail pass from Seva Sindhu App and travel via Talapady and Jalsoor checkpost. All the travellers are strictly advised to follow quarantine guidelines laid down by the Karnataka government.

Hope Kerala also issue orders for free entry with social distancing and other covid guidelines. Kasaragod district has lesser covid cases than DK.

As per Govt of India MHA interstate travel should be allowed without any restrictions and any requirement of pass. How and who has issued the orders in contravention of MHA Govt of India. The report is not clear as to who has allowed movement of people with such restrictions whether Kerala or Karnataka. The PIL filed vefore Honble Kerala High Court will be heard tomorrow and hopefully orders will be passed. We will know whether these restrictions are in order.
