In this regard, the administration has decided to issue regular passes to daily commuters to and fro Dakshina Kannada. A registeration counter has been set up at Talapady, the border area between Kasargod and Dakshina Kannada, where a data entry team will check the passes of all those travelling across the border from either districts.

The order states that a formal registration needs to be done on 'Covid19 Jagratha' portal under 'regular pass' along with an antigen test negative certificate, which will be issued at the site of entry at Talapady by the district medical officer of Kasargod. The commuters should carry an ID card with name and address of the employer, office address etc, which shall be produced at the counter set up for entering the data and also for doing the antigen test.

A health team at the Talapady counter will conduct the antigen test with swab collection, and the certificate will be provided within a short time.

A data entry team will enter the details of the person in 'Covid19 Jagratha' portal along with the copy of documents including ID cards, antigen test report etc, and issue the regular pass to the commuter.

The DC's order added that the regular pass will be issued without any delay on the spot. The process will continue for a week every day until further orders.
