Bantwal, Aug 7: Mohammed Shariff, the main accused in the case pertaining to murder of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activist, Sharath Madiwala, met with a bike accident when he collided with another two-wheeler at Ambalpady on Friday August 7.

Sharrif was on his way to mosque for prayers when he met the accident. He was admitted to a hospital later. 

He further complained of assault to Bantwal police station on Friday afternoon and got himself admitted in Thumbe hospital.

Naveen, another person also has complained to Bantwal police station in connection with the case alleging that a gang has assaulted him.

Sharif, alleged that a gang of miscreants who arrived in two bikes and a car assaulted him when he was on the way to mosque on his bike from home.

Naveen complained that he was going on his bike to bring an ambulance as a local died, when a gang waylaid him and assaulted him. Naveen who was injured in the incident has got himself admitted in Bantwal government hospital for treatment.

Bantwal station police have said that they have received both the complaints and are conducting investigation.

It may be recalled, RSS activist Sharath Madivala, on July 4, 2017 was attacked in his laundry. He later died at a hospital in Mangaluru. There was large scale violence following his death in BC Road area.
