Mumbai, Aug 7: Shri Ambika Pretenders & Publications’ founder, chairman and founder editor of Punya Nagari and Mumbai Chowfair Marathi Daily’s, Hindmata, Karnataka Malla (Kannada), senior journalist, Journalism Industrialist Muralidhar Anantha Shingote (83) died in his hometown of Gaymukhwady in the city of Junnar taluk of Umbra in Pune district Maharashtra on Thursday afternoon.

He established a Marathi evening diary named Mumbai Chauffeur and gradually started working in Hindi, Kannada and Tamil as a renowned journalist.

Pillars of Newspaper Societies Award of Indo-African Organization, lifetime honours award from Maharashtra Editor Parishad, Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar of the Vikrata Sangha of Brihanmumbai Newspaper, Honorary Vocational Recipient of the Vocational Trade, Honored Successful Press Entrepreneur in E-TV Conversation Program, Urdu Times Press Hon Salam has been honoured with many accolades from Pune Institute of Recognition, Shivaner Bhushan, Indian Vidyapeetham Jeevan Gaurav Award.

Muralidhar Anantha Shingote known as Baba in the present world was a witness to the movement in the fountain environment of Mumbai during the United Maharashtra movement. The deceased has left lakhs of readers of his newspapers, including three sons, three girls.
