Bengaluru: Yogeshwar says D K Shivakumar fell at his feet several times

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Aug 1: BJP MLC C P Yogeshwar claimed that contrary to what Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president D K Shivakumar, has been claiming, Shivakumar himself had prostrated before him a number of times for money, property, power, party organizational matters, and other work. "I have video footage of these incidents. If he wants, I am prepared to exhibit them in front of the people of the state," he declared.

Yogeshwar hit back at Shivakumar for the latter's statement on Thursday that the former had approached him and pleaded to be admitted into the Congress. He also challenged Shivakumar to prove his allegation by providing video clips of CCTV cameras installed at his house and on the roads around it.

"Central leaders of the BJP had assured me six months in advance that I would be made an MLC and that I would be offered the post of a minister. The chief minister called me and assured me that I would be nominated to the council, three months ago," he stated. He also termed Shivakumar's attitude in shirking from replying to questions raised by the media and escaping from the Congress office as shameful.

He wondered why he would approach the Congress state president relating to the assembly election that is 30 months away. He said that this outright falsehood of Shivakumar will not be trusted by even the stupidest of people. "Shivakumar made this allegation with the specific aim of robbing me of the position of the minister. He has been damaging the respect associated with the post of the president of KPCC," he retorted.

Congi leaders will do any thing to get their things done, and save themselves and to be in power. Siddu had run to and fallen at Mr and Mrs HDK's feet when he lost his constituency and wanted an alliance with JDS for survival of Cong in the state. So its nothing new. They beg and plead and when their work is done, they turn hostile.

With the winds of change growing across Karnataka, Yogeshwar will sooner than later swallow his pride and beg Shiv kumar for pardon. After all joining BJP, allows him to indulge in their favourite passtime of telling Lies, Falsehoods and Slander.
