Bengaluru: Rs 2,000 crore scam accusation - Legal notice served to Siddaramaiah, D K Shivakumar

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Jul 31: Legal notice has been served to the former chief minister and leader of opposition Siddaramaiah and KPCC president D K Shivakumar, who earlier accused ruling BJP state government of Rs 2,000 crore scam in the purchase of coronavirus-related medical equipment.

BJP government had already informed that it will take action against the Congress leaders, who had accused the ruling BJP government at a press conference of scam in the purchase of medical equipment related to coronavirus treatment. Accordingly, notice has been now served on the two prominent leaders of state Congress.

The BJP government has questioned both the leaders as to how they could have accused the ruling BJP government of Rs 2,000 crore scam while they did not have anything to support their claim.

The Congress leaders had alleged that scam has taken place in four departments of the government to the tune of Rs 2,000 crore. In addition, the opposition had also alleged that the BJP-led state government has not responded to their request of providing accounts of the purchase.

The ruling BJP government has asked the Congress leaders to provide proof for their allegation or take back their accusation by apologising unconditionally.

In Gujarat also BJP governed govt. challenged after Congress exposed the ventilator purchase without any bidding to the Diamond Business man who donated PM Modi expensive Suit.
Now the 'Doctors' are hesitant use this machine after many patient died of complication with oxygen.

If Karnataka BJP thinks there are no gross corruption involved then they should have published the audit report on all purchases made for the 'Covid-19' in open press conference attended by the unbiased media.

We the Kanndigas can't afford the deaths of our citizens' like Uttart Pradesh Yogi government due to unpaid bills to the 'Oxygen' suppliers. As opposition Congress has every right to ask the question when the assembly is not in function.

Providing proof is the onus of the Govt. In such cases to clear the air, appoint a house panel consisting of members of all political parties and carry out a investigation into this allegation. Sending legal notice only confirms the fear of a scam.
