Daijiworld Media Network - Hassan (MS)

Hassan, Jul 31: In a tragic incident that occurred at Channarayapatna of the district, a police sub-inspector hanged himself after arresting the murder accused in the midst of intense political pressure.

Police Sub Inspector (PSI) Kiran Kumar is the person who killed himself. He was working as SI in the Channarayapatna city police station. He committed suicide in his duty uniform at his residential quarters. Exact reason for this extreme step by the PSI is not known. His body is kept in the government hospital of Channarayapatna.

Two murders took place in Channarayapatna in the past two days. Kiran, who had arrested the alleged murderers, had also conducted spot inspection. After he got the spot inspection done by taking the accused to the spot, he came back to his quarters and killed himself. ASP Nandini and DySP have visited the residential quarters of PSI Kiran and are investigating further.

IG and SP were about to visit Channarayapatna on Friday July 31. However, the suicide of PSI Kiran the night before their arrival has created mystery.

This is not the reason, real reason could be different and more serious than this. He was waiting for some reason to do this act so that the real reason will not come out.

Unbelievable. Law and order is lacking. Since he has arrested the murderers why he will hang himself? Look for murderers supporting party who is the backbone for this murderer. This trend is very dangerous for common honest citizens to live. Scary situation. Dismental all those groups who do the moral politics and policing paralal to govt police

    RIP..

Looks like SI job is really difficult.. police had to form teams to catch murderers rather than pressuring SI alone.
