Mangaluru, Jul 31: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president D K Shivakumar demanded judicial inquiry by a sitting judge into the state government’s alleged corona corruption charges.

Addressing media here on Friday July 31, D K Shivakumar said, "In the name of corona. corruption is at its peak. The government should conduct public account committee meeting so that there will be transparency in use of public money. We also demand a sitting judge judicial inquiry into the corona corruption charges against the state government so that truth will come out on the funds spent for coronavirus pandemic management. The government has stopped all development works. Four lac ventilator kits were brought paying Rs 18 lac. In every section, distributing kits, sanitizer, thermal scanner and many more, there is corruption. I am speaking on the basis of government orders. If am wrong, let them register a case against me or file a defamation case. Congress have given full support to the government in tackling corona in the state. But it is impossible to support corruption in the name of pandemic management.”

He further said, “Migrant workers are nation builders. No arrangement has been made for them to provide food and shelter. They were not encouraged to stay back in the state. Instead, they had to travel by paying double charges for transport. People coming from overseas has been insulted the way government is treating them.”

“Government ration kits which was distributed in several constituencies were seen with the picture of Prime Minister and chief minister along with party symbol. Unfortunately, no arrests were made in this regard. So what kind of support does Chief minister B S Yediyurappa expect from us?”

“BJP's corruption is more worse than coronavirus. BJP government is a curse for people,” said D K Shivakumar.

MLA U T Khader, former MLC Ivan D’Souza, former minister Ramanath Rai, district youth Congress president Mithun Rai, district Congress president Harish Kumar and others were present.

If ruling party has not done any sort of corruption , then they have prove that. They have to set up an enquiry committee . Opposition party has right to question govt, and make them accountable to public.

Congress and rest of the opposition is somehow responsible for the current crisis, for not drafting killing strategy against bjp.
If there is only one main contender against the BJP on every constituency, the idea goes, the BJP could be defeated constituency by constituency..

Know what the Congress suffers largely from...
1.A ' Loss of Image ' and perception that they were saviors come what may ! People do not believe .. have no trust in them.
2.The party was always' TOP HEAVY 'with really no cadres to boast of. It didn't matter when the top leaders with their charisma pulled it off for them but now in a changed scenario and V. V. Poor Leadership at the Top
    everything has come crashing down.
So simply put the Congress must....
1.Should not campaign for a Negative vote.
2.Should set it's house in order, never point fingers at opposition.
3.Change leadership at top. Give Merit it's due.
4.Strengthen cadres at the grass roots level and shows it means business.
5.Give ' Adharsh Darshak ' responsibilities to its old cadre and make them retire from active politics.
Do all this and then come to me again for advise. Ok?
    What nonsense press conferences?
