Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada DC receives death threat on social media

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Jul 28: A member of a WhatsApp group has posed death threat to Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner (DC) Sindhu B Rupesh. This information has become viral in the social media.

Discussions were on in a WhatsApp group on the reported statement of the DC warning of strict legal action when referring to attacks happening on cattle transporters in the district. During this debate, a person directly posed death threat to the DC in Tulu language. The person also is seen commenting in Tulu that he is ready to take or lay down his own life wherever anyone is found damaging the Hindutva or Hindu gods.

In a tweet in the twitter account of the district administration, the administration had said that it is found that people have been creating confusions relating to cattle trafficking in social media. The tweet assures that wherever illegal cattle transportation is found, the police will take legal steps, duly asking the people not to fall prey to unsubstantiated rumours.

Deputy commissioner of police (law and order), Arunangshu Giri, said that the department has taken note of the same and investigation has already been started. He said he has spoken to the DC. "If the DC files complaint, we will accept the same. Otherwise, we will investigate by registering suo motu case. We will not overlook this incident," he asserted.

Indian Administrative Service has been referred STEEL FRAME. People simply do not know the power of civil servants or the bureaucrats. People take them as ordinary people. In fact it is not so and if they want they can prosecute those who pass any such threats. According to me those who talked about a threat are quite ignorant people.
Judiciary takes such utterances very seriously. Those politicians who are in power can creat only temporary nuisance. Ultimately public servant is supreme because he/she carries out the work for the public good. In India the association of the IAS cadre civil servants gets done anything they wish. No reporting takes place on that!

District Administration should not ignore or take these threats lightly. They should deep dive into the case and bring the culprit to lime light, so that, those thugs don't dare to threaten someone in future. If they are ignored, they will keep doing this.

The district administration must be geared up for any breakdown of law and order.... Enemies within and beyond our borders, are planning to ferment communal unrest, Their intention are crystal clear !!! This is an hour of crisis, where every nationalist, citizen should gallantly support the government, who are battling preemptive strikes by sworn enemies of our nation !!!!

She is doing her duty as District Administrator.... Why to threaten her and cause obstacles on her way??? This is because, our laws are not strict... People commit heinous acts and come out on bail very easily... No fear at all...Influence from political background on the basis of greed of money... Never they think that this life is short...Money earned in illegal ways in the form of bribes to support injustice, definitely a curse to their generation....
