Mumbai, Jul 23: The Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court earlier in the week directed JJ Hospital to submit a report following the arrest of HDIL promoter Rakesh Wadhawan's defence requested a transfer to a private hospital.

After testing positive for coronavirus, Wadhawan was admitted to a Covid hospital earlier in the month. Now that he tested negative twice for the virus, he was moved to JJ Hospital, according to the prosecution.

The HDIL promoter and his son Sarang were arrested in a money-laundering case involving the PMC Bank. Wadhawan's lawyer had also conveyed to the court of his client's ailing health.
