Mangaluru, Jul 17: Milagres College which is a part of the 170-year legacy is located at the heart of the coastal city of Mangaluru in Karnataka. Affiliated to Mangalore University, it is recognized by the government of India, MHRD under Section 2(f). It has been certified as a minority institution by the National Minority Commission and is locally administered by Milagres Church.
The college is under the umbrella of the Catholic Board of Education, diocese of Mangaluru. The bishop of Mangaluru is the president of the institution.

The college offers Under Graduate programmes in Commerce (BCom), BCom with ACCA, BSc in Hospitality Science, BSc in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics and BSc in Interior Design and Decoration. Skill-based certificate courses in Aviation and Hospitality Management, Travel and Tourism and Supply Chain and Logistics Management.
A number of add-ons like certificate and diploma courses are organized to provide life skills to the students. These skills strengthen the students’ determination towards greater achievements.
Various sports facilities coupled with both indoor and outdoor games reiterate the Institution's belief, 'A sound mind in a sound body.' Multigym is the value-added attraction to the college sports department. Faculty and students make use of these facilities to reinforce their physical stamina to enhance their academic calibre.

The distinctive feature of our institution is our concern for the poor and the marginalised. ‘Sagayoga’ our outreach programme is integrated into the system of learning. Educational extension programme has always been a part of the college's integrated training that is extended to the students. The college also organises regular industrial visits.
The students are given global exposure through visits to foreign universities. For the academic year, 2019-20 a group of hospitality science students along with the principal visited Sunway and Mahsa Universities and updated their knowledge in the fields of hospitality and tourism.
Faculty and students’ research are given a vital push and our in-house publications stand witness to this fact.
Regular guest lectures are also conducted to motivate students for competitive exams.
