Beltangady: Husband breaks hospital lock, takes away corona-positive wife

Daijiworld Media Network - Beltangady (SP)

Beltangady, Jul 17: In a strange incident which happened at Beltangady, the husband of a woman who had given birth to a baby on Wednesday, broke open the lock of the hospital gate and took away his wife and child after coming to know that his wife had tested positive for coronavirus infection.

The incident happened on the night of Thursday July 16 at the taluk government hospital here. The woman had got admitted into the hospital on Wednesday and delivered a baby the same day. During the admission process, her throat swab sample had been collected and sent for testing. The woman went into labour and delivered the same night. On Thursday evening, the test result confirming that she was corona positive was received.

The husband, immediately on being informed about this situation, directly came to the hospital in his car, entered the hospital by breaking open the lock of the gate, and took away his wife and child in his car on Thursday night, it is said.

There is no information where they went. The police are now on the lookout for the trio.

Two of the most corrupt businesses in India today are healthcare and education. People should have an online complaint Facility which is responsible and Reliable so that issues or complaints related to them can be addressed. Unfortunately there is no such platform where the people can do this and even have f it exists is non functional!!!!. Hope our PM will bring out a strong mad reliable regulator.

All big Hospitals are financed by politicians (BJP & Congress) either directly or Indirectly, hence Govt. will not give us any options to lodge an online complaint.

Eg: Same like -  if any layman complains about MP / MLA will there be any action ?  The complainant has to run for his life after some time.

Unfortunately our PM hates oversight. He has actively depowered almost every regulatory body in almost every field from RTI, Election commission, Environment protection. Even half the judge posts are lying vacant from district court to supreme court.

Readers, Since Independence every successive state government, has grossly neglected healthcare infrastructures... Hospitals built during the colonial British raj, continues to be operational... Netas favored private hospital institutions, common citizens cannot afford those high premium bills, leaving the general public at the mercy of these ill equipped, run down hospitals !!! This is the same scenario in Mumbai and in every region of our nation.... Those with money will survive, others will perish !!!! This lady who have been tested positive, will transmit this pandemic to her family !!! The authorities should immediately put her back under quarantine facility, else the scenario will be catastrophic for the entire region !!!

public has totally lost confidence in the Bacchali Janara Party government.

even under this trying times, everyone right from chaddi yeddy down to local corporators are trying to make money at the cost of the life of citizens.

Good that people have come to know the real colour BLUEJP party. Vote for them till 2050

India will turn into Somalia under people like chaiwala, motabhai and the state of Karnataka will as such go to the dogs.

I'm telling you, repeat test of the wife will prove she is Negative.

Please stop this loot. Please treat Covid-19 as regular flu and let people maintain their distance on their own than blowing this out of proportion as Pandemic. India, for displaying a very low rate of fatality, has all right to treat the disease as other regular fevers that are existing in the country throughout the year.

Our government should have had the guts to stand for its people, than going with the tide as Western countries did. We are different in immunity, we are not like them.

Yes true.. i have seen many people being positive.. but when asked for the reporst they donot show...

hospitals are looting people. Government is paying hospitals thinking that this numbers are true...

One of our relatives came from Mumbai and they were quarantined statind they ar positive. We asked for reports.. they did not give.. they were kept for 15 days without any treatment.. not medicine at all.. normal food and then on 15th day they were released as negative.

But by then thier names were on TV and were also given patient numbers.. This is just to give numbers to the govt to loot money.... i think in India there is no much cases of corona... its all fake.. people who die normally with already preexisting ailments are also shown as died due to corona.... hospitals are looting money.. and the govt is believing them...

Till july 4 there was a rule saying that the report should not be disclosed. That rule was withdrawn. And how did the hospital make money when your relatives were not given any medicine and kept in quarantine centre? They were asymptomatic and that's the protocol to be followed. At present reports are being provided

Yes, same thing happened in my friend circle too!! And in this case, hospital should not play tricks with a just delivered lady ( really if she is negative!) .. Her condition will be sensitive and delicate with a small baby besides her...so much depressing... Why these hospitals loot ordinary people this way...?? Don't feel like calling them as warriors the way they handle patients and drown them in the heap of debts.....how god will bless them? Where they will keep money... ?? After all everyone's life is hanging on one single breath 😢😢

Also jhanavi, please mention the tv channel that disclosed the names. It's illegal.

If they have done so then they need to be sued. When a covid positive report is received, it also goes ro the district health office. From there the number goes to icmr. The officials visit the house of the person and sanitize the place. If a person with another disease is counted as coronavirus case, then the family members will know as the health officials would visit the house. And do you think that all doctors would remain silent if there was golmal going on? At least one doctor would expose this as they have exposed shortage of ventilators in other videos.
