Hubballi: Decision on reduction of petrol, diesel prices at suitable - Union minister Prahlad Joshi

Daijiworld Media Network - Hubballi (MS)

Hubballi, Jul 11: Union minister for parliamentary affairs Prahlad Joshi said that the decision regarding reduction of prices of petrol and diesel will be taken at a suitable time as the state and central governments are busy in measures for controlling the Covid-19 pandemic spread.

Speaking at a press conference here in the city on Friday, July 10, Joshi said, "Due to the coronavirus pandemic there is a huge drop in the revenue of state and central governments. The price of crude oil has also increased in the international market. Efforts are on to reduce the dependency of the nation on import of fuel. The matter of reducing the price of petrol and diesel will be looked into considerately.

"The previous union government run by UPA had removed the control on petrol and diesel prices. That is being continued now also. Some states have also imposed tax on fuel in order to increase their revenue. I will not respond much on the reduction of fuel,” he said.

When congress handed over the ruling to BJP during 2014 the customs duty on petrol was Rs. 9.48 /litre. Now in July 2020 the customs duty on same one litre petrol is Rs. 32.98. To amass maximum money from ordinary people BJP government is not reducing the customs duty. The state tax for petrol is only Rs.19/- per litre. If customs duty got reduced, automatically the state tax portion also will.come down.
Mr. Prahlad Joshi is giving wrong statement and fooling the public. They are just looting the public by not reducing the price.

Does it take long time to jump one party to other? This happens in overnight no Covid virus.. But to reduce gasoline price it requires time to decide because they are busy with virus. Go to Astrologer he will guide the Union minister to decide the year, date and time. Shameless .....when they are in opposition they will shout but now virus is blocking them to decide.

During Congress rule petrol price was 60 and fuel price was 125 dollar. Now it's 40 dollar and petrol price should be 20 rupees per litre. If bjp government reduce the price to 20 rs i will vote for bjp.government .

Media is not doing awareness of people rights and praise day and night of ruling Govt. But people must understand media is getting money from the Govt to do bhakthi and common majority only doing thali and ganta beating

Since people are willing to pay.. they will definitely raise the price untill they wish to.. who is there to question.. anyone who questions will be tagged a traitor.. anti national..

Of course reduction in oil prices will be after looting the people left and right and emptying their pockets. The people should stop using their vehicle and start walking or use public & private transport. In this way it will force govt to reduce prices.

The minister is bluffing. He even cannot buy a drop of oil at a reduced price. But he can get it free because he is in government. Does he take any decision?
