Bengaluru: Kumaraswamy advises government to take opposition into confidence

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jul 10: Former chief minister of Karnataka, H D Kumaraswamy, has urged the state government to take the opposition into confidence in matters like containing coronavirus infection and acquisition of medical equipment.

When his reaction was sought on coronavirus management by the government, he noted that there have been allegations of irregularities in acquiring medical equipment connected with corona care. Therefore, he asked the government to invite opposition leaders to meetings where important decisions are taken. This will effectively do away with confusions and charges, he felt.

At the same time, Kumaraswamy said that this is not the right time to heap allegations against the government and list out its follies. "Our main focus now should be to save lives. Towards this end, let us extend full support to the government at this stage," he said, in advice directed at the leader of the opposition, Siddaramaiah.
