Mangaluru: Coronavirus claims DK's 17th victim after 76-year-old man passes away

Mangaluru, Jul 1: Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday July 1, recorded one more death due to coronavirus.

The victim is a man aged 76 from Bhatkal. He was suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, battling respiratory illness and pneumonia.

He passed away in the afternoon. His swab was collected and sent for test. The result came as positive.

With this, the death toll in the district has now reached 17. Two more lives were lost to the deadly virus on Wednesday in the morning.

The district has now witnessed eight deaths from Sunday due to coronavirus.
