Tumakuru: Mutton lovers beware – Sheep too are being quarantined

Daijiworld Media Network - Tumakuru (SP)

Tumakuru, Jun 30: The district administration here was following the practice of subjecting people suspected to be suffering from coronavirus infection and those who came from other states to quarantine. The district administration has now decided to prescribe quarantine also for the sheep.

Forty sheep have been confined to one place in Godekere village in Chikkanayakanahalli taluk of the district, and these sheep are now not being released to graze. Because a shepherd from Godekere has contracted coronavirus. Therefore, the 40 sheep which were under his care have been quarantined.

District in-charge minister J C Madhuswamy, said here that the throat swab samples of the sheep have been collected and sent to a laboratory at Bhopal for testing. The minister said that whether the sheep get infected by coronavirus is not known, duly adding that the sheep will be kept at a place till the reports are received.

Madhuswamy said that he is confident that normally coronavirus infection does not spread through the sheep, but this decision was taken as a measure of abundant precaution. He said that a decision on whether the sheep can be allowed to graze with the flock will be taken after the reports on the swab samples are received.

Eating meat doesn’t harm. It will be boiled / heated before consuming. Hence I feel it is safe.

No problem, eating Mutton, Beef, Pork, Goat, or Lamb. The only thing it should be cleaned and cooked correctly. When it is boiling close the lid, and let the temperature go above 110 Degree Celcius at least for 10 minutes. All most all including Tuberculosis bacteria will be killed 100 Degree Celcius.

Covid19 virus originated from the " Wet Market " where live wild animals, reptiles, crawling insects and worms, were freely traded in the densely populated region of Wuhan in China.... The consequence is horrendous, more then half million humans, have perished around the world. Nature is cautioning humans to forsake consuming carcass of animals, birds, reptiles, amphibians fishes and start accepting a pure vegetarian diet, for a healthy lifestyle !!!!

Please be aware of the history behind using the word "pure". Just use vegetarian. Also it would be good if vegetables tasted as good.

Next in line may be birds, chicken !!! OMG !!! Situation is apparently getting weird day by day !!! Maybe humans should now turn into Veganism !!!!

    @ Kiran Dsouza,

    Even then death is inevitable.
If we are so concerned and worried about death so much then we cannot live life long by fear of dying.

    Prevention is better than cure.
Good job... Nobody knows in the world what is happening with Corona Virus & nobody has a clue till now how to prevent it from spreading, how to stop it.
So, your safety is in your hand, eat only vegetarian.
