Kasargod: Stone-laden lorry hits electric pole – One dead, three injured

Kasargod, Jun 26: A red stone laden Tipper lorry met with an accident at Madhur, Kolya earlier this evening. The incident has claimed the life of one person and three others have suffered injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Badiadka Pattaje resident Shivaprasad (21). The Tipper driver Prasad Kumar (32), worker Akshay Kumar (22) of Talpanaje and Ujwal Pavan (28) of Manya Chukkinadka were the ones who suffered injuries. They have been admitted to Kasargod hospital.



The lorry was on its way from Badiadka to Madhur. Unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle lost control and hit a light pole on the roadside. Shivaprasad who was sitting on top of the tipper was thrown out due to the impact. Though he was rushed to Kasargod hospital, his life could not be saved.

A case in this regard has been registered at the Vidyanagar police station.
