Mangaluru: Vikash Kumar is new police commissioner – Dr P S Harsha transferred

Mangaluru, Jun 26: Vikash Kumar Vikash will come as new police commissioner to city while hitherto police commissioner Dr P S Harsha has been transferred.

The transfer was made by the government in a communication dated June 26.

Vikash was earlier serving as deputy inspector general (DIG) and commander, Anti Naxal Force, Karkala.

As per the order released by the government of Karnataka, Dr P S Harsha has transferred with immediate effect and will be posted as deputy inspector general (DIG) and commissioner, Information and Public Relation, Bengaluru.

    At most of the govt offices if work is not done and one complains to a higher official, the higher office just forwards it back to the lower office for redressal.This has to change, otherwise what is the need for a higher officer.

    Why the Govt. is hasty in transferring our able Police Commissioner Dr. Harsha at this juncture. He should have been retained here for another one more here. What was such an urgency to transfer him now. Why our DCs and Police Officers are transferred often.

    Kindly give them five years tenure they are placed like honey moon period and then thrown out Harsha has hardly completed five months he might not even understand the local language he is transferred give them a chance to know the full city due to politics we are losing great people now Kumar will be just for three months wait and watch so vishnu the neighbor get ready with your bags packed anytime your name will be announced
