Man who committed ‘suicide’ in Mangaluru surfaces in Shivamogga

Updated

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Jun 10: It is gathered that the man who projected as if he had ended his life by jumping into the river from Netravati bridge near here after parking his motorbike on the bridge, has been found from Shivamogga.

Praveen Saphalya (28), resident of Kurnadu near Mudipu had gone missing since Monday June 8 night. His bike was found parked on Netravati bridge. Therefore, it was guessed that he would have ended his life by jumping into the river from the bridge. Fire brigade personnel, policemen and expert divers had undertaken intensive search operation for him in the river but failed to find him or his body. The man, who fooled so many people, it is learnt, has surfaced in Shivamogga.

Saphalya was working as salesman for SLRK Limited. He was reportedly deep in debt. Being unable to face the harassment of his creditors, he had parked the bike on the bridge before leaving for Shivamogga, it is said. Ullal police, who have registered a case, are probing further.

Intalling cctv isn't as expensive as the time and personnel resources spent on conducting the search.
True CCTVs won't stop people from jumping into the river. But it'll atleast make it easy for the rest of us to determine what actually happened.

Fire brigade/ Govt. authority should set up high barb wire fences like those on airport walls to avoid suicides from atop every bridge (less cost compared to our Govt. expenses). Instead of "Fire brigade personnel, policemen and expert divers had undertaken intensive search operation" they can set nets under the bridge at a certain level to the victim thinks twice before suicide.

This can only strengthen our resolve to help genuine people in need, may not be always in monetary terms. For commentators deriding those committing suicide, giving up ones physical body needs utmost courage, you r lucky God has provided U with more resources than them & not brought U to this situation.

Peiple who commit suicide are cowards, running away from situations is escapism. It does not resolve a problem. Infact its painful for the family members of the person left behind. Spoiling a river to commit suicide is destructive. Person who wants to kill himself goes on self destructive mode and infacts the entire river n species therein. Best is place a high tension net below the nethravathi River. Fear for getting burnt to death will act as a reluctance stratergy. If people want to kill themselves let them kill themselves without destroying the world around. However commiting suicide is a criminal offence in law as well as the spirit of the person who commits suicide hangs and lingers in mid air till his actual time of death destined by God the creator doesnot arrive. So friends please dont hang midair and torment others. Wait till your time of death comes and go peacefully leaving others to live peacefully also. We dont want to encounter paranormal spirits. Many have I encountered near nandigudda cemetry which ive noted in my book 'unseen world of Mangaluru'

Now its time like out there in the US.. we should start a Movement #YouthsLivesMatter.

Youths nowadays commit suicide due to various reasons. It could be unemployment, failures in love affairs or business affairs, monetary problems etc.

Unemployment being the predominant factor, first and foremost govt authorities should provide job guarantees to our youth. As regards, other personal conflicts & problems - Counselling centres be established in order to counter the problems troubling the youths of today.

That way suicides can be reduced to a great extent. Whereas increasing the height of the fence surrounding the river is not a solution. If one decides to end life there are many other means and ways.

    Isn't it?

The Mangalore Netravati bridge now fast becoming another Aokigahara Jukai 'Suicide forest' of India.
All that promises being made after 'Cofee Day' owner death is now only remains on paper.

It is also alarmingly worrying factor for the nation that more youth are ending their lives due to financial burden.

There should also need for immediate consideration of the the strict implementation of "code for bridge design" according to the International standard that not only will prevent suicides also accidents that may prevent vehicle from vertical drop.

A person commits suicide only when he is insecure about him or his future. Financial burden is there for many persons.

Every one doesn't do like this. Good counseling can make a person to come out of such infirmity. More friends are needed to exchange views. Interaction with larger family may reduce such loss of lives.

Brahma did not write anyone's destiny to die by committing suicide. I would like to know if there are any scriptures supporting this in any of the books.
Brahma created each person in this world to live peacefully. The prince of the darkness is responsible for all this.

If you search carefully you will find the scriptures that Brahma / Creator had given scriptures & promised us that he will / can change anyone's destiny in this world.
