Bengaluru: Yelahanka flyover named after Veer Savarkar by people

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, May 29: Even as the government and opposition parties are engaged in tussle over naming Yelahanka flyover after freedom fighter Veer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, the people have taken upon themselves the task of writing down the name, 'Veer Savarkar Flyover', on it.

The flyover was set to be inaugurated on Thursday by the chief minister. But due to developments during the entire Wednesday, the inaugural was postponed. In the meantime, many had taken to social media to express their intention to place the photograph of Savarkar on the flyover and christen the flyover after him. On Thursday, the words, 'Freedom fighter Veer Savarkar Flyover' were seen to have been written over the flyover in Kannada.

Speaking on the issue, Yalahanka MLA S R Vishwanath, blamed former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, for creating unnecessary problems. He urged Kumaraswamy not to bring politics in the matter relating to freedom fighters. He said that in future, when naming something after a member of Kumaraswamy's family, his party will extend support. "If you still want to oppose, you can go ahead. At any cost, we will name this flyover after Savarkar by next month," he told Kumaraswamy.

In the meantime, Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike mayor, Gautham Kumar M, said that opinions from the public on the issue of naming the flyover after Savarkar have been invited and there is time till June 20 to send opinions. He said that the government will issue final notification on the basis of the opinion which will emerge at the end.

After his release from the Andamans, Savarkar cooperated with the British frequently, disproving the guerrilla tactics theory. He not only gave the idea of the Two-Nation Theory to Jinnah but also conspired in the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi as established by the Kapur Commission after his death.
Savarkar did not believe in Sanatan Dharma, he was a proponent of male superiority, Brahmin domination and Islamophobia. Those are the very values that the RSS upholds today.

Today, the RSS selectively quotes Savarkar — like covering up the fact that he ate beef in Britain, justifying the act with the excuse that British cows could be eaten because they were not holy.

Keshav Sitaram Thackeray (grandfather of the present Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray writing on Savarkar in 1948, Prabodhankar Thackeray accuses the revolutionary of writing his book on the War of Independence only to glorify Brahmins. He also points out Savarkar 's glorification of rape of Muslim women as the ultimate tool to eliminate Islam — in his book Six Glorious Epochs of Indian History, Savarkar even castigated Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj for returning the daughter-in-law of a Muslim general with honour and not subjecting her to indignities.

The Two-Nation Theory was floated by Savarkar first in 1937 at a convention of the Hindu Mahasabha and was later picked up by Mohammad Ali Jinnah in 1940 and acted upon by the British seven years later, leading to the country's partition. Patriot, or the original tukde tukde gang?

Readers, will be shocked to learn that there are over 400 landmark institutions, roads, ports, airports, named after the Dynastic Nehru/ Gandhi parivar !! They firmly believed, that Independent Indian nation, was solely created for Dynastic rule, for its family descendant.... All other individuals living on the soil, were mere subjects and objects of the royal family !!!!! Those who opposed the family were tormented, blackmailed into submission !!! No other family name were permitted to survive in the nation... Recall the horrific emergency, declared by late PM Indira Gandhi !!!!

People paying Toll Tax and private companies are constructing a bridge and roads. It means its public paying money then why we need to keep name that bridge or fly over. If anyone donates to construct, that bridge is workable to name that bridge.

Lets unit all to fight aginst Corna rather than naming any faming of bridge or roads.
