In addition, B & C blocks of police quarters in Garadimajal in Thenkanidiyur village have been sealed down as the family of Karkala ASI who tested positive earlier in the morning lives there. That area has been declared a containment zone.

While fighting this pandemic, self confidence and tenacity are very crucial. Lost lose heart, don't  give up. Someone has said dealing with Corona is like managing one's  unruly wife. If men have learned to live with wives who cannot be controlled, so also people will eventually learn to live with this corona virus. Keep your chins up  guys!

Time we accept to self-impose full curfew in Udupi and Karkala as containment zones for the virus. Curfew needs to be of minimum 30 days and no one must leave their houses for any reason whatsoever. Most people already have food items stocked to last upto 45 days. If we don't do this now, things will become even worse

    Cynthi,

Its just like Flu / Common cold....after 14 days its goes away ( In common Flu its 7 days) ...and person gets immunity from same Virus again...just like person who is Vaccinated for it...

Common Flu death rate is abour 0.4%....this COVID-19 death rate could be 1-4% .....that too, elderly people, people with existing respiratory issues etc have higher casualty rate....

COVID-19 transmits more virulently than common Flu....other than that both common Flu and COVID-19 Virus, there is no much difference...

Last but not least....2 VERY IMPORTANT things here ...for India having less COVID-19 cases than in the West...

FIRST....Indians having constant exposure to Flu Virus may have built up anti-bodies against this Virus...

SECOND....India has tested far low per capita test compared to west....when you test less ...you get less posetive cases obviously...

Nothing to do Modijis forced Quarantine...as many BJPeee supporters think...

Well Social distancing, wearing mask and gloves, self quarantine helps a lot...

    ...Tak...Takk...

Lan... Sir, you explained it well. Your last paragraph says self quarantine... Who will be in self quarantine if every ban has lifted up? Only sick, small children now school /college children... remain at home... Even aged people move out...market/walking etc. Rest all started resuming their duties since lock down relaxed. No one knows whether they are the carriers of virus... because of no tests are getting done. Those who are coming from other states and are institutional quarantine also roam everywhere and some escape. Neither strict follow ups are not there like that of Kerala nor the people are not sitting inside abide by the guidelines and to be of a responsible citizen. Question of worry is if day by day cases increase at this rate, do we have sufficient hospitals/facilities/ventilators ???? Everyone will get proper treatment except only high profile/rich people...??. Covid is not like flu...

    Cynthi,

No know treatment or Vaccine COVID-19 SO FAR...we should have Vaccine ready ...successfully tested with small number of people...more testing is needed... hopefully before year end we will have a Vaccine...and this menace will END...

More you are afraid of it , more it scares you...be it Virus, boss or spouse....

Death is a must for all of us Corona or not...live your life to full extent...leave your life and death in Gods hand...

    KM ???...
