    Unfortunately all efforts to contain the virus in the Udupi district by the district administration during last 6 - 7 weeks and suffering of residents now gone with the wind. No choice but live with the virus with extra care. Mansoon is at the corner and one needs to be extra careful. God save all of us.

    What did the prolonged "unplanned" lockdown yeild; it now looks like a case of the pandemic cure being worst than the disease! As the lockdown period is extended, the financial crisis will hit rock bottom!! So, it's like a double edged sword! Afterall, no country can afford a lockdown till the last case is banihed??

    Even post lockdown, the problems will be manifold, much more painful and prolonged; an avalanche of psychiatric issues are already emanating, suicides, divorces, burglaries, violent behaviour; also joblessness, penury, severe starvation & malnourisment, deaths due to other opportunistic infectious diseases, exploitation of very poor & gullible.....list goes on!
    Most migrants (only time will tell how many of them carried CORONA with them to contaminate CORONA clean areas); in their native places many may not have been basic access to soap & clean water to maintain hygiene, which again can spread CORONA very rapidly through feco-oral route (report elsewhere in DW) along with other infections largely due to ignorance!

    BTW, there are reports that 300 Manipuri nurses have resigned from jobs in Calcutta & headed back due to constant illtrearment (timesnownews dotcom)
    And also some negative international developments portray a scary prognosis post CORONA conundrum!

    Now ii is the prime responsibility of each individual to take maximum precaution, follow protocols, educate/help others, eat nutritious food, keep immunity strong, & lets hope for the best!

    The above is a very personal opinion based on data from reliable sources! Kindly do your own personal in-depth research (decipher information), & do not ever blindly trust any & every info!

    • Please wear closed shoes if you have to go out and leave them outside the door without touching them;
    • Wear disposable gloves and mask and dispose them off in a closed garbage bin outside your house. Please don't mind spending some extra money on these things;
    • Quarantine the non-perishables for 72 hours in the boot of your car or in a separate untouched place;
    • As far as possible, wash the perishables thoroughly outside the house / apartment with water containing 10% salt or vinegar or cooking soda;
    • If you have to go out, dress up in easy to wash clothes like dhoti kurta/half sleeve shirt and store them away immediately upon return in a separate basket/bag to wash with detergent & Dettol when accumulated;
    • A simple method is to treat yourself returning home as though you are smeared with excreta! That helps!!
    • Better wash hands thoroughly using antiseptic handwash/soap; sanitizers in emergency;
    • Wipe house door handles, etc., with antiseptic. Gloves on for using lift doors, public handle bars and anything outside. No visitors; no visiting;

    Not to scare, just abundant precaution because there is said to be more in the scene than just the Gulfies returning home.

    Take care.

    There is a minimal risk of spreading this virus from gulf returnees
    Each one is quarantined and tested. Only people with negative results will be sent back home after 14 days.

All developed countries are doing research on bilogical viruses funded by NGO's. Even America invested in China's lab and in many parts of the world. Also chinese scientists use to do research in canadaian lab. American intelligence wing comes to know a deadly virus procured by china from somewhere or developed by themselves. Shoot-out taken place on china from there virus leaked. It might be done purposely by outside intelligence wing to spread virus in china or happened accidently. Hereafter we want to stay with virus for few years..until vaccine is found. Let people travel from one end to another and reach atleast safely there home. Now onwards nothing but life is become same like musical chair...whose number is next no one aware. Be happy.

    Now it is clear the new raise in count is cause fo the interstate travel and foreign travel.
    It is necessary that indians have to return back to their home ,and the govt has arranged for the same in a phased manner..people who were stuck in other states are also returning.

    The foreign returnees are quarantined and so they wont be much spread from them.
    The people coming back from other states have to be very responsible..
    They should be aware of all facts about their travel and be responsible enough and stay in home quarantine strictly.
    They should be aware that they can be asymptomatic and carry the virus.
    They should be careful about mingling with family members,relatives,friends.and should be strictly indoor.

    3 cases in Udupi till the beginning of this month and now look what has happened. Can we please stop allowing people from other states/districts for the time being. Especially from Maharastra!!

    Sad but can't be ignored. Entry from kerala was banned even for kannadighas, however it turns out to be better for the people in kerala that they are banned, than getting into the mesh.

    If we would have allowed Keralites since the very beginning, we would have a boom of cases in Mangalore. Kasargod depends on Mangalore and not on Kerala for lot of reasons. So yes, we are glad the ban was put in place. So that they don't get the mess here.

    Grow up mate, there was hardly any community transmission is kerala. So your assumption on mangalore getting infected from kasaragod is a very very remote. Kerala follows a strict protocol unlike Karnataka.
