Mangaluru, May 19: ‘RADIO daijiworld’, an app-based online radio platform which has been pandering to the Konkani and Tulu community across the globe is celebrating its third anniversary on Tuesday, May 19.
RADIO Daijiworld which is a subsidiary of its parent company Daijiworld Media, has been known to promote and encourage artistes and events of the Konkani language and that of the Coastalwood.
The free android and iOS-based internet radio app was launched back in 2017. Soon after the launch, RADIO daijiworld cemented itself in the hearts of thousands of listeners. Several have commended RADIO daijiworld for its efforts of reviving and promoting regional songs in Konkani and Tulu languages, both old and new. Along with playing songs, local news and important announcements were also made, based on significance, on the platform.
Arun D’Almeida, station director of RADIO Daijiworld, has been credited with playing an instrumental role in promoting the platform with his innovative ideas. Being an RJ in the name of ‘Ghatagaar’, Arun was already a familiar voice around the globe because of his informative and impactful voice.
Within a short span, RADIO daijiworld has become a prominent platform to promote new movies in Konkani, Tulu language along with album songs and events. As a support to the entertainment projects and budding talents, RADIO daijiworld serves as a special space with live talk shows and chit chats. The platform has captured the live happenings surrounding well known Konkani television shows, 'Ami Dogi Sezara', ' Mozo Thalo Gaithalo' and 'Soad-5' that have been telecasted on Daijiworld TV.
On the occasion of anniversary, Walter Nandalike, founder, editor-in-chief of Daijiworld Media and Arun D’Almeida, station director, RADIO Daijiworld, thanked all listeners and supporters. They have assured more innovative programmes and events in the coming days for listeners and supporters.
