Online smart tests schedule for public schools in UAE announced

Daijiworld Media Network - Abu Dhabi (SS)

Abu Dhabi, May 2: The Ministry of Education (MoE) approved the dates for the centralized smart tests for the third semester of the current academic year in public schools.

These tests, which are a part of the distance learning and smart learning, shall begin on May 4, be short and alternate to the end-of-term examinations for classes 4 to 11. The class 12 students, however, will sit for both the centralized short tests as well as the end-of-year exams.

In case students are not able to attend the main exam due to an emergency, the ministry shall conduct another centralized ‘make-up’ test for them.

Last month, the ministry had carried out an online pilot programme test to check the effectiveness of this electronic testing system for government schools. The initial compulsory testing was carried out for students of grades 5 to 12, the ministry said.
