Mangaluru, Mar 26: With the encouraging news of no new cases of coronavirus infection in the city, police are putting in all efforts to prevent the movement of vehicles inside the city without any valid reason.

Traffic police of the city are restricting entry of all vehicles at Jappinamogaru near Netravati Bridge since nine hours. They are only allowing people who show relevant documents for the work for which they want to enter the city.

Whole country is under lockdown for three weeks and the district, state and central administration machinery is striving hard to make people stay inside their houses to prevent the spread of fast-spreading coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the death toll from the dreaded infection has risen to 12 with the death of an 85-year-old woman in Gujarat.
