Mangaluru: Public violating lockdown guidelines taken to task by assistant commissioner

Mangaluru, Mar 25: The entire country is under lockdown due to the increasing cases of Covid-19 infection. A call in this regard was given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the nation on Tuesday, March 24, in which he has asked people to stay at homes and help the government in containing the pandemic that has claimed thousands of lives all over the world.

Some citizens are not concerned by the call given by the prime minster and the seriousness of the situation. Such people, who were roaming on the streets without any valid reason were taken to task by assistant commissioner Madan Mohan in the city on Wednesday, March 25.

The people who were roaming on the streets by walk as well as on bikes had to face the brunt of Madan Mohan’s baton. He personally ventured out in the streets of the city and took rounds to bring some discipline and convey the seriousness of the situation the entire country is facing. He also took to task shop owners who had opened their shops.

Already 11 people have succumbed to the dreaded virus and 580 people are confirmed infected in the country.

    We are not accustomed to following rules laid by the government. Not following rules is a way of life. Even if the consequences are severe for reasons unknown we don't follow rules. We fear the baton or a fine for a limited period only later was come back to our old ways.
