Mangaluru, Feb 11: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal (BD) voiced out to commemorate Pulwama Martyrs’ Day on February 14.

Addressing media here on Tuesday, February 11, regional convenor Sunil K R said, "A year ago, a convoy of vehicles carrying security personnel on Jammu Srinagar National Highway was attacked by a vehicle-borne suicide bomber at Pulwama district, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack resulted in the deaths of 44 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel. VHP and Bajrang Dal calls out publicto pay tribute to the martyrs of Pulwama attack on February 14.

“We demand the union government to make it officially a day to commemorate Pulwama Martyrs’ Day every year on February 14.

"Bajrang Dal strongly opposes Valentine's Day celebration on February 14. Valentine’s Day is western culture celebration which attacks the Indian culture. Youths need to come forward to pay tribute to Pulwama Martyrs on February 14 instead of celebrating Valentine's Day. We also demand shopkeepers not to sell the greeting cards pertaining to Valentine's Day celebration,” he said.

District convenor Bajrang Dal Puneeth Attavar, district convenor Udupi district Dinesh Mendon and others were present.

Looking at them, it seems they celebrate valentines day everyday expect on 14th February.

Why did you remember Pulwama martyrs this time. One year, what did you do?

Why going on western cars, go on bullock carts.

As the wildfire of hate speech spreads, fighting it must be a job for everybody
We cant blame these people. They must have had a very poor upbringing. no food to eat, no schooling etc.
What happens at home really does affect children's long-term mental health and development. This is an example for it.

    Time to quit hatred

Please ask these guys whats their qualifications to advise others on celebrating any days...Please suggest them to work hard and look after the families of Pulwama martyrs. Aks them to send their siblings to the border areas and fight with terrorists and take revenge of pulwama carnage.

Do we require these people to advise us what we do, eat, wear and where we go. News portals should not give importance to these type of news.

Let them visit every house hold in vicinity and enquire about the public what sort of difficulties they face daily.
Public should ignore these guys and teach them lesson inthat way.

They're wearing shirts and using mics and cameras invested in the west. Hypocrites.

They are a curse to Mangalore. No job to do. Most of their faces are bloated from alcohol consumption. Is that Indian culture ? Indian liquor for sure though.

what are these people talking? soldiers who died in pulwama are not martyrs...they are victims of Government's failure to provide them safe vehicles to move in terror affected region... they were killed by terror attack when they were killed in movement in antique lorries, they died passively because of government's inability to provide safety in transport.

If soldiers / defence personnel die due to Government's inefficiency/negligence, can they be called martyrs?

What is the problem in celebrating all together?
There is an economy surrounding valentine day. Can we afford during these lean times to not celebrate Valentine?
Pulwama equally appalling and drastic act also need to be remembered. On that day, we must ask Pak PM Imran Khan and his master Bajwa to direct their baazigars to Wuhan to rescue hundreds of Pakistani students (waiting their turn to be infected by Corona virus) stranded there and bring them back.

Missiles, bombs, guns, swords, knifes, sticks, stones so on and so forth will never give us permanent solution to our world problems. Talks, discussions, dialogues, meetings etc. really help us to find permanent solutions for the problems of our world. Only a good will, sharing, forgiveness, patience, love all these positive and write attitudes are required from each and every one of us. Then surely the world will become much good, better and best place to live for each and every one of us. HOW I AM THAT WAY THE WORLD WILL BE. It is myself matters. Thank you and God bless each and every one of us.

Only by working hard you can feed your family.
Why are you giving importance to Valentines day. Just ignore it and go to work, all will live in peace.

During Navarathi period 50% of condom sale is increased only in Gujarat states. Why do u oppose giving flowers and cards but support condoms.

Look at your face guys, why are you so serious. Is Syndicate bank is chasing you guys to return the loans ? Give flowers to your wife on valentines day and watch how your wife and children will smile and then you also will smart smiling.

Pulwama attack occurred due to irresponsibility & utter failure of central Govt. Instead of attacking Govt. you all are attacking flower vendors.

Please live dignified life and let others live simple life.
RIP Pulwama Martyrs, We love you, respect you & proud of you.

Every soldier is an asset of our country and will be in our memory and prayers not only on 14th February, but 24x7x365, but since 14 February is a Martyrs Day, they will be remembered in a special way.

No one asked for your stage-managed 'Pulwama' to win emotional hindu votes then by your 'Shakuni Omit Shah'!. BJP government failed miserably till date to prove and bring the perpetrators to book from where and how the explosives ladden jeep(vehicle with 300 kg RDX)) came so close to the armed forces security convoy??? Your party has massacred innocent army jawans for your greed for power at any cost. Just ignore these thugs who are brainwashing honest citizens to beleive them. The Nation knows it now your games. Example today's 'Delhi Election Results'!.

Pulwama will be remembered and ecery martyr will be remembered. Not today not tomorrow not just on Feb 14th. They will be remembered every single day. Every single day we spend our lives living among our loved ones and family they will be remembered, because we can do so only because of our soldiers. Why are you selective and ask them to be remembered only on Feb 14th. Why are you so antinational ?? Why only on Feb 14th. Why are you insulting our soldiers by asking them to be remembered only on Feb 14th.
