Mangaluru: Threat of Coronavirus - Two young men on stranded ship released

Mangaluru, Feb 11: Two youngsters working for a luxury cruiser, who were stranded at Hong Kong port because of fear about Caronavirus infection suspicion, have been set free. Both of them whose marriages are set to be held shortly, began their journey back home.

After medical tests confirmed that none of the passengers and crew of the cruise ship were infected with Caronavirus, they were allowed to go. Gaurav is expected to reach the city by tomorrow as he could not get direct flight, it is learnt.

Gaurav's marriage was scheduled to take place on February 10 but had to be postponed at the last minute due to unexpected developments. His brother-in-law, Ganesh, said, that his marriage would be held shortly at a function being organized at St Sebastian Hall here.

The other ship crew from Kasargod is also learnt to have been let go. However, confirmation of it could not be obtained from his family. His marriage is scheduled to be held at Puttur on February 16.
