Kundapur’s Shine Shetty emerges winner of ‘Big Boss’ TV reality show

Kundapur, Feb 4: The culture of Kundapur was unveiled in Big Boss 7. Kundapur residents Shine Shetty and Bhoomi Shetty entertained about Kundapur’s language, culture and festivals till the end of Big Boss season. Kodladi, Kundapur resident Shine Shetty has got himself crowned Big Boss 7 in the end. Shine Shetty had been shining from the audience since the beginning. His performance, attitude, character in the house and rapport with co contestants in the 113 days task won the hearts of Kannadigas. After Vasuki Vaibhav came out of the house in the grand finale, there was tussle between Kuri Pratap and Shine Shetty to excel. Finally Sudeep announced the winner of season 7 as Shine Shetty.











Shine Shetty is the talent of Kundapur. He is the eldest among two children of Kodladi, Kundapur residents Sharatchandra Shetty and Indira Shetty. He had spent his childhood in Kodladi Dodmane. Shine has bought a house in Atradi, Udupi and is staying there. But he visits to his mother’s house in Kodladi often specially to the festival of Surgedi temple, Kodladi ignoring his programmes. The fans and friends of Shine are in large number here. People recollect the memories of Shine spending his childhood in the village of Kodladi. It is not easy to participate in 113 days long reality show, succeed against strong contestants in different tasks and win by a large number of votes from fans.

Shine has studied in Little Rock School in Brahmavar, Christian PU College, APMC, Manipal and Navodaya educational institute in Hebri. He has worked as an anchor in Udupi based TV Channel when he was a degree student. He later got opportunity to act in Laxmi Baramma serial. He also acted in Kanaka, Meera Madhava, Kogile and other serials. He went to Himalaya for a few days. He was eager to achieve big in film industry. Being a good artiste, the serials in which he acted brought him fame. He has acted in films Sarakari Hiriya Prathamika Shale, Kasargod, Ondu Motteya Kathe, Asthitva etc. He was a little disappointed when he did not get expected roles in the industry and waited for them.

He decided to sell food delicacies in pulling cart when he was eating lunch in one of them on a day. He borrowed money from the friends of his father and opened a food cart by the name ‘Gally Kitchen’. He later opened a mobile canteen in Banashankari, Bengaluru, which prepares and sells food =.

Manohar Shetty, Kodladi said that Shine is the son of his younger sister. “He was interested in films and serials since the beginning and went to Bengaluru seven years ago. He has acted in a few serials. We are glad that he was victorious in Big Boss now,” he said.
