First-of-its-kind Beach Zumba turns out to be massive hit in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jan 28: The first-of-its kind Beach Zumba event organized by ZIN Veekshitha Arasa on January 26th at Panambur Beach, Mangaluru, was a huge success. Scores of people who visited the beach on Sunday evening witnessed and danced along with the talented Zumba instructors from Bengaluru and Mangaluru for almost 2 hours.

The Zumba Fitness event which was held on the occasion of Republic day was inaugurated beautifully by releasing balloons on air bearing the Indian Tirangaa (tricolor). This was done with the message ‘Let the love for health and fitness fly high among the citizens much like the soaring spirit of patriotism’. The inauguration was done in the presence of Panambur beach police officials, APD Foundation’s founder and CEO Abdullah Rahman, Santhosh Kumar from SS Arrangers, Veekshitha Arasa and her husband Rohan Lobo, Veekshitha’s parents Bhaskar Arasa and Geetha B Arasa, and all the Zumba instructors leading the show.

Speaking on the occasion, Panambur beach CEO Yathish Baikampady lauded the Zumba team for conducting a fitness program of this sort for the citizens of Mangaluru and said this kind of events should happen more often in the city.

The enthusiastic Zumba instructors who joined hands with Veekshitha and put up a great show included Meenal Dubey, Ashwitha Shetty, Vishal Rai, Aishwarya, Namratha Shekar, Shruthi Keerthiraj, Vinayak Acharya, Kavitha Manish and Urmi. They were all thrilled to dance on the Beach with Zumba enthusiasts from Mangaluru.

It is not very often that such Zumba Fitness events happen in Mangaluru. The crowd there was initially a bit hesitant to come forward and dance but the hosts of the program and the instructors made them comfortable and encouraged everyone to join in and groove with them. It then turned out to be a great show with all the dance and fitness lovers including so many children ended up dancing their heart out. Some of the senior citizens and audience who didn’t dance, expressed that they had not witnessed anything of this sort before and it was a treat to watch the Zumba moves.

Speaking to Daijiworld, Veekshitha Arasa, the main presenter of this event expressed her joy of conducting her dream event in the city successfully and said that this was her small attempt at promoting fitness among the citizens of Mangaluru and she would conduct more such events in future. She wholeheartedly thanked all the Zumba instructors who were part of this event, her family, specially her father Bhaskar Arasa for coordinating and helping her all throughout this event to make it a successful one and her husband Rohan for being always supportive in all her endeavours.
