Mumbai, Jan 22: “It was the custom in the olden days to conduct Arasina Kumkuma that has a religious base by visiting houses of women, but now due to lack of time, it is being celebrated by the gathering of women at a place. It also gives an opportunity for women to speak to each other and participate in their joy and sorrow. Women should keep their minds at least in activities such as this. We become people of values and culture when we recollect our childhood during our youth or retired life. As mind is the essence of any programme, women should have that mind. Man becomes healthy and relaxed when his mind is filled with activities,” said BSKB association Gokula ladies wing president I K Prema S Rao.

Prema S Rao lit the lamp inaugurating as chief guest the annual Arasina Kumkuma programme held at Bandra Hindu Association auditorium, Santacruz Vakola on Tuesday evening.
