Mangaluru, Jan 13: Tulu movie, 'English' being made under the banner of ACME Movies International, and produced by renowned Dubai-based entrepreneurs Harish Sherigar and Sharmila Sherigar, is set to be released on April 3.

The movie, which has kicked up lot of expectations and interest long before hitting the screen, is being produced by Harish Sherigar, who has gifted the world of Kannada cinema a gem in the form of Kannada movie, 'March 22' and other films. It is being directed by K Suraj Shetty. The movie will be simultaneously released in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai and Gulf countries simultaneously on April 3, said director of the film K Suraj Shetty. The new film, which is being made on a grand scale, is naturally been looked upon by the audience.

One of the most refined actors of Kannada and other language films, Anant Nag, has forayed into Tulu movies with a unique role through this film. For Harish Sherigar, who has settled in Dubai, who has made films like 'March 22', 'Hottegagi Genu Battegagi' and 'Yaana', this is the first Tulu movie to be made by him.

Suraj Shetty expressed his elation at being involved with a film which is produced by a good producer. He noted that Harish Sherigar, a well-known entrepreneur, philanthropist and singer, is already involved with Sandalwood. He said that Sherigar's love for his mother tongue' Tulu has made him to produce a Tulu language film, which he feels, will infuse power into the industry.

Harish Sherigar said that he was longing to make a movie in his mother tongue and that he is producing this movie that has a good storyline. He said he is fortunate that Anant Nag had agreed to act in this movie. He expressed happiness at the way the movie is shaping in the hands of Suraj Shetty, and sought support of the people to the film.

Krishna Sarathi is the cinematographer for the movie while Manu Shedgar will be editing it. Music is provided by Manikanth Kadri while Shashiraj Kavoor, Arjun Louis and design Devi Rai will provide literature. Story, screenplay, dialogues, and direction are in the hands of K Suraj Shetty. Prathvi Amber, Navya Poojary, Naveen D Padil, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Vismaya Nayak, Deepak Rai Panaje, Raviram Kunja etc are in the film's cast.

Sherigar's 'March 22' had won national award. J M Prahlad, composer of a song, 'Muttu Ratnada Pete', bagged best music composer award. Padma Shri B R Shetty had also acted in this movie. The film was adjudged second best film for 2017 at the state level and Prahlad also won the state award for the movie which received lot of appreciation and good reviews.
