MP Shobha accuses former CM Kumaraswamy of misleading Mangaluru anti-CAA violence probe

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Jan 11: MP Shobha Karandlaje said that the CD released by former CM H D Kumaraswamy, which is said to be pertaining to the anti-CAA violence that took place in the city of Mangaluru on December 19, 2019, as fake.

Shobha was addressing the press on Friday, December 10 in the city and said that she wants to know the source from where Kumaraswamy has got the CD. In addition the MP also expressed her doubts that Kumaraswamy must have got the CD from the state of Kerala or from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) of Delhi.

"Former CM Kumaraswamy is trying to shake the confidence of the Karnataka police and mislead them by releasing this fake CD. Policemen of our state have a good reputation all over the country. Kumaraswamy should disclose the source of the CD and clear the doubts on his motives," said MP Karandlaje.

Karandlaje further said, "Have former CMs Siddaramaiah and Kumaraswamy visited the Bunder police station of Mangaluru where the incident took place? The station had 3,000 bullets and 45 rifles in store. The furious protesters were trying to take possession of the police station. If they would have succeeded in their intention, the result could have been disastrous.

"The mindless attack of the hooligans, who threw stones and petrol bombs on the cops has caused injury to 85 policemen. Have the leaders of Congress or JD (S) met these injured cops? The attack that took place in Mangaluru was similar to that seen in the state of Jammu and Kashmir where the stone-pelting mobs wear mask to hide their identity. This is a dangerous trend that has started in Mangaluru."

MP Shobha also showed her concern on the 'Free Kashmir' placards that were displayed at the campus of Mysore University and asked the government to take strict action on the people involved in the same. Meanwhile, MLC N Ravi Kumar termed the JNU as a hotbed of anti-national, pro naxal and undemocratic forces.

MP Shobha also asked the minister for higher education to conduct a thorough survey of the college hostels to find out students who are overstaying in the campuses. Karandlaje said that it is okay to overstay one or two years but there are people who are living in the hostel for more than 10 years, which is not correct.

Doesn't it seem that all BJP does is power through one bill in the Parliament and then all their MPs, MLAs and MLCs firefight the consequences throughout the year. No wonder our economy is declining, prices are going up and jobs are vanishing.

Best joke I saw on TV was when a reporter asked a BJP politician for the full form of NRC, and he had no answer.

She should tell us why does Mangalore have a problem when BJP comes to power in the state? In the previous time when BJP ruled a South Indian state for the first time, we had a lot of trouble in Mangalore.

Shobakka, this word "misguide" is apt for the voters who got you to power. You shouldn't forget that you and Kateel are in power only because the voters were misguided.
