Mangaluru's tallest building 'Solitaire' by Land Trades inaugurated at Hat Hill

Mangaluru, Dec 30: Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi, chancellor of Yenepoya Deemed-to-be University and chairman of Yenepoya Group, on Sunday December 29 inaugurated 'Solitaire', Mangaluru's tallest building built by Land Trades Builders & Developers, at Hat Hill here.

Dr B M Hegde, former vice-chancellor of Manipal University inaugurated the club house of the 'Solitaire'.

Dr M Shantharam Shetty, pro-chancellor of NITTE Deemed-to-be University presided over the inaugural event. P Jayaram Bhat, chairman, Karnataka Bank Ltd, Krishna J Palemar, former minster, Dr A J Shetty, president, Lakshmi Memorial Education Trust, J R Lobo, former MLA, B Appanna Hegde, former MLA and MLC, M Shashidher Hegde, corporator, and Chandrashekar Rao B, general manager, Karnataka Bank Ltd, graced the occasion as chief guests.

In his welcome speech Srinath Hebbar, managing director, Land Trades said, "For us 'Solitaire' was a challenging project right from day one. We had to cross many hurdles for its completion. By God's grace we completed it with many 'firsts'. We are proud to say the tallest building in Mangaluru is now in our account. MFAR, the well-known construction firm helped us raise this tall building without any problem. At the time of construction they ensured safety of employees and they succeeded in completing it without any damage or loss of life. I congratulate them and thank the entire team who was involved in the construction of 'Solitaire'. It is a moment to rejoice and share our happiness with our supporters and people of Mangaluru."

In his inaugural speech Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi said, "Srinath Hebbar is known for his simplicity and soft-spoken nature. His firm Land Trades is known for commitment and dedication towards its clients. 'Solitaire' reflects the nature of Srinath and his firm. I laid the foundation for this building and today I have been invited to inaugurate this. This is a great moment in my life, as now, along with this building I too have become a part of Mangaluru's rich history. I wish all success to Srinath in his future projects and congratulate MFAR on constructing this wonderful structure."

Dr B M Hegde said, "'Solitaire' is a new landmark for Mangaluru. Srinath as a builder has contributed a major share to the city's modern infrastructure. Now with 'Solitaire' he has made us, the people of Mangaluru, proud. I congratulate him and wish a pleasant stay to all residents of 'Solitaire'.

Dr M Shantharam Shetty said, "It is not easy to construct a building of more than ten storeys. Srinanth dreamt it and succeeded in building the tallest apartments in our district. His passion for his business and the dedicated teamwork of his associates have given results. The building has already secured 7-star grade from CRISIL. This is a perfect construction and a luxurious place to stay in, in every way. People who have booked flats here are indeed lucky. I congratulate them all along with Srinath and his team."

On the occasion, the dignitaries handed over keys to the flats to owners. Architects and contractors of the building were felicitated.

Senior journalist and well-known compere Manohar Prasad compered the event.

    Mangalore should be proud of a high-rise complex such as Solitaire. We have seen this tall structure rise to its height from the very commencement of the construction, and have witnessed the completion to its fullest glory. We had a pleasant conversation some time with Mr. Hebbar, and we were quite impressed with his foresight about the tall and prestigious complex.

    Architectures such as this bring name and fame for the growth and prosperity of Mangalore. Complexes such as these bring new imagination in the minds of progressive people. We wish Solitaire best of success so that project such as this receive full support from the local society, and many more high rises appear in the sky line of Mangalore.

    Supreme Court had given the verdict long back for issuing occupancy certificate for Land Trades Solitaire. But occupancy certificate was actually issued after betterment of administration in Karnataka & especially in Mangaluru after MCC election after people from all backgrounds participated in election in both the parties & there was change in MCC administration. Congratulations 🎉 to Mr. Hebbar & team & all the tenants.
