Mangaluru, Dec 26: RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat created a new controversy by saying that the two people who died due to the police firing during the anti-CAA protests that were held in Mangaluru on December 19 were anti-social elements and not innocents. He also praised the police their style of functioning in handling the situation.

As the issue of the death of two people during the police firing in the recently held anti-CAA protests in the city of Mangaluru is making waves throughout the state, Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat also gave his view and said, "Anti-social elements were about to turn the coastal area of the state into Kashmir. However, the police department has succeeded in foiling their attempt. City police commissioner Dr P S Harsha has efficiently handed the Mangaluru violence."

Prabhakar Bhat expressed rage over giving compensation to the victims who died during the violence and said, "Police have not fired on innocent people during the anti-CAA protest that turned violent. Instead they have fired on anti-socials. The two persons who died are anti-nationals. They were responsible for the whole violence and anti-social elements, who were responsible for disturbing the peace of the whole city. So compensation should not be given to their families. If compensation is given to these victims, in future, all the terrorists, who get killed by police and soldiers will seek compensation."
