Mangaluru, Dec 17: Unity Health Services and Private Limited was awarded the 'Best Company', while its chairman Dr C P Habeeb Rahman, ‘Most Inspiring Leader’ by World Confederation of Business (WORLDCOB) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Addressing media here on Tuesday, December 17, Dr Habeeb said, "I am delighted to get this award at the two-day conference by World Confederation of Business, USA. The 15-year-old World Confederation of Business, popularly known as WORLDCOB, has 3,500 member organizations spread over 130 countries, who share ideas for collaboration between one another.

"Among the 150 participants in 130 countries, I am the only Indian among the awardees. The award is given on the basis of achievements in health sector. There is an assessment committee, which recommends the name,” he said.

Dr Habeeb had presented the concept of planet health at the conference for the members to take on their respective nations. He said, “It was highly applauded by the participants from various countries. Issues are global and solutions have to be identified globally. Implementation of globally accepted solutions has to be done at local, community and institution level.

“Turbulence of today’s chaotic global scenario is a caution to world leaders of all the nations, to focus more on planet health than looking about individual and community health,” he said.
