Mangaluru, Nov 6: District BJP president Sanjeev Matandoor released his party manifesto for the upcoming MCC elections here at BJP office on Wednesday, November 6.

Addressing the gathering, Sanjeev Matandoor said, "People have blessed BJP in Assembly and Lok Sabha elections and we are confident that people will bless BJP in the upcoming MCC elections also. When Yediyurappa was chief minister, government had released Rs 200 crore and many roads in the city were concretized. People are aware that BJP will show good development works in MCC once we come to power,”

“Our focus will be on the overall development of Mangaluru such as ring road, developing bus stops, bridges and also rickshaw parking, improving the infrastructure, single window system, e governance, and corruption-free administration. Our corporators in their respective wards will form ward committee to address the problems of people,

Former MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik said, "We have formed this manifesto of BJP for the next five years at MCC. We have conducted meeting and taken opinions from the public and the changes required in the administration are mentioned in the manifesto. Earlier when BJP was in power in the state and MCC, the government had released sufficient funds,”

“There is also need of administrative changes such as online payment instead of people coming to MCC for payment and stand in queue for long period. The manifesto is as per the expectations of the people.” he added.

Points in the BJP Manifesto:

1. Basic facilities such as improving roads, water facilities and electricity, upgrade railway station, surrounding roads, 24x7 water facilities.

2. Providing facilities for people of all age groups such as play grounds, library and parks.

3. Providing sports facilities, construction of grounds, construction of Rangamandira.

4. Priority to health, cleanliness and environment, construction site debris, multi-level car parking, bus stands at required place to reduce traffic congestions, upgrading rickshaw stand.

Collection of hafta should be banned. Since thirty years we have heard about parking at the old service bus stand but no work. What about the completion of the historic Pumpwell flyover?

This manifesto looks good only on paper. Practically nothing will going to happen. People are well aware of tricks and promises of BJP.
