A good deed done by Putta Rama is highly appreciated although its not his job. The Corrupt MCC
brought the condition of our city roads at this level by pocketing Public Tax payers money and not bothered safety or lives of people.
Secondly, why these dump officials and elected members/leaders of MCC closing (their sins) Potholes by dumping Mud, soil???? Its creating more pollution, dust while Vehicles moving on it!!!!

I am happy that atleast this Police person has realized the common citizens problems while traveling on road. Thanks to this Policeman. At the same time it is a shame to our District Administrator and MCC . Our corporators are only for name sake and enjoy the facilities, they are busy with their own business.

Tomorrow, I would like to sit on SP's chair and order some extreme steps to control drug menace in the city, which obviously he is not doing effectively, right now. Will I be honoured and praised across media line?

I feel every government servant should do his duty so perfectly that another person need not stall his work and do other's work!

Mr. Puttarama (small Rama), the policeman has done the good job. Since he saw traffic is not moving smoothly due to these pathholes, and the corrupt MCC is not bothered about repairing rather than looking after their home affairs, he decided to spare some time for this good job. We can not shoot the MCC official for not paying attention to these pathholes since ours is a democratic country. if someone is doing good jb for the society, help him if possible. God bless you.

Who was doing his part of the job being traffic police.
Police commissioner should have also questioned Mangalore corporation officials who are responsible to maintain the roads.

Traffic police does exemplary job when concerned department is sleeping.
Even the police Commissioner P S Harsha congratulated him saying “My man who went beyond the call of duty and did public service. We need more such people”
The policeman was carrying out such public service when he was still on duty (his uniform indicates). If that is the case, he must have over looked his own duty being a traffic police.
Police commissioner should have rather questioned the Town municipality for neglecting their part of the duty.

Good service to Mangalorean by Police. Same service was also rendered by a Lady police in Baikampady potholes on NH 66 couple of years ago. But what about concerned department? Why is it closing its eyes when in need?

Isn't this the duty of the Mangalore City Corporation? Are roads repaired by filling mud? Unfortunately the citizens have accepted the situation.

There is nothing to appreciate this. We have concern department for doing this job and all for whom we are paying and they are not doing any charity. He should concentrate in his job which is controlling traffic and all and please let the concern department do the filling of the road

If a govt. servant from other department can see that there are potholes on the road, why is the govt's concerned department not acting. Road tax are so high, but there are no roads.

I request all readers to try out Nantoor to Kulshekar road. You can fulfill your dream of having a thrilling adventure ride (free of cost), rather than going to wonderla or manasa. Connect to nature with natural spring water filled holes throughout the road. Because who needs safe roads in Smart City. During rains, Children and old people enjoy getting mud sprayed on their faces by moving vehicles. During sunshine, the dust from the road spreads around schools and homes creating a beautiful mist. Such a heavenly feeling it is, when we get such luxurious facilities from authorities.

My dear police ! you are sending a wrong signal to the concerned department as the govt has appointed a particular department for that work and paid by the TAX PAYERS ! Now if you do their job then how about yours ? GENERAL PUBLIC NOT BOTHERED THEN why you ? They are very emotional and vote the scrap people as their representatives repeatedly !!!!!!

Indeed an appreciable gesture on the face of it - yes. But, concurrently many questions are raised which need attention. We see many ranks of police moving about on some cause or the other everywhere....
Concurrently, we note that many road rules and laws are flouted, but the visible wrongs are not taken notice of by the the police officials at all. And the problems faced by ordinary folk, children, aged are mostly ignored.... where, road, foot paths are in want the police must ensure that action is taken by the concerned authority in a suitable manner. This case of the officer helping the labourer could also be for some higher ups convenience which is not seen? Except in emergency works must be done by suitably by the concerned authorities. -Thanks.
