Mangaluru, Oct 31: Former district-in-charge minister and MLA U T Khader rubbished the allegations former MLA Mohiuddin Bava demanding Rs 10 lacs to issue tickets for Mangaluru City Corporation elections.
After the District Congress announced the names of Congress candidates for different wards, a scuffle broke out between supporters of former Mayor Gulzar Banu and Mohiuddin Bava on October 30. Gulzar Banu’s supporters were upset that her name was missing from the list. Bava was also allegedly assaulted by Gulzar Banu’s son.

Addressing a press meet at district Congress Committee office on Thursday, October 31, Khader asserted that the allegations on the former MLA are baseless. “There is no truth to the statement that he demanded Rs 10 lac for ticket for corporation election. And the open quarrel between party workers and leaders is the internal matter of party and the leadership will discuss about it. When there are ticket aspirants for election, dissatisfaction is common. But Congress will face this election with unity and team work,” he said.
“BJP is facing shortage of good candidates in MCC elections. So they are purchasing corporators and good candidates from Congress. First they started purchasing MLAs and now they are reaching out to corporators. It shows they are facing shortage of leaders and candidates. This is a tragedy of BJP,” he said.
Speaking on cancellation of Tipu’s history from school text books he said, “Tipu is not losing anything with cancellation of lessons. Government cannot delete his history from the museum of England. They can’t stop Tipu Salam Pooja from Kollur or they cannot demolish the temples which were constructed by Tipu Sultan. Tipu was a great personality and his contributions to the country are not erasable. Today, BJP removed his history. Coming days they will remove Mahatma Gandhi and Ambedkar history from text books,” Khader lashed out.
He also asked a clear clarification from MCC officials and MLAs of Mangaluru South and North constituencies about proposed city bus stand at Pumpwell.

Fri, Nov 01 2019Note the words from Mr. U T Khader, Tippu was a great personality and his contributions to the country are not erasable.
Coming days they will remove Mahatma Gandhi and Ambedkar history from text books.” Once come to power again, Congress may raise Tippu to the stature of Gandhi, but comparing Tippu with Mahatma Gandhi is nothing short of a crime as of now.
Tippu just left behind those temples and Churches he could not loot and raze down. The sole caretakers of history, duly upholding such temples and churches, project Tippu as a great ruler and tolerant King. Absurdity to the core.....!

Thu, Oct 31 2019Mr. khader, please dont compare that tippu who demolished Rosario church to that of the father of nation Great Gandhi and Constitution maker Ambedkar. Learn from public librairies before comparing silly people with great personalities. You could have had a look when you honored rahul gandi at the church by looking at the entrance wall where it is written in black marble about the good work of tipu done with the church.

Thu, Oct 31 2019Everyone knows that in politics no one gets ticket without paying if he or she is not a celebrity or known bureaucrat. It is there in all parties. There is nothing to panic over such statements.

Thu, Oct 31 2019First we had heard about " in - fighting " within the party.
Slowly it became " out fighting ".
Now it is Street Fighting.
If it is Internal matter don't. Fight externally ...and
Then hold Press Conferences to cause more embarrassment to the party.
Look at the video yesterday Ivan Lobo, rising star of Congress escaped unhurt because the protestors from Surathkal did not seem to know who he was !
Otherwise I think he would have got a few blows. You call that a close shave aa ??
