Sonia Gandhi visits Tihar Jail to meet D.K. Shivakumar

New Delhi, Oct 23 (IANS): Congress Interim President Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday morning visited party leader D.K. Shivakumar at the Tihar Jail here. She was accompanied by party General Secretary in-charge of Karnataka K.C. Venugopal.

Shivakumar was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case on September 3. His bail plea is pending with the court and the ED probe is underway.

A Congress strongman from Karnataka, Shivakumar was instrumental in the formation of the state's last Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) and Congress coalition government.

Last month, Gandhi and former prime minister Manmohan Singh had visited former Finance minister P. Chidambaram at the Tihar Jail. Chidambaram was granted bail by the Supreme Court on Tuesday in the INX Media case.

Jaisi karni vaisi bharni. Every dog will have their day. Similar thing happened in TN when first Jaya was arrested by police because of Karunanidhi, but when she became CM, she made sure that he was humiliated in a similar fashion when he was dragged like a rabid dog from his own mansion with his lungi almost worn out by the marble floor.

State elections are over, now all congress leaders will get bail from courts. In PC Chidambaram's case SC, says there is not even whisper of evidence, yet he was inside the jail for 61days.

Fooling people is a good business. In facebook these days there are posts mentioning win a Million Dollar, just mentioning your birth month. There are 100's who willingly get carried away by greed and reply. Their win largely, is their identity getting stolen. There is a price to pay for foolish mistakes.

Their cases are not like Kaliki Baba with 800crore of unaccounted wealth, grown quickly in the past few years.
