Bengaluru, Oct 22: Prakash Raj, actor-turned-politician is in news again. His video of speaking in a media event in 2018 has gone viral on social media.

In this video he compares the popular Hindu festival of Ramleela to child porn.

In the video, it can be seen that actor Prakash Raj launches a scathing attack on UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath and says that Yogi is doing drama by promoting Ramleela events. ‘’This sends fear among the minorities,” he alleges.

He also asks whether the CM of UP is doing Vikas by changing the colour of the wall paint. He also admonishes Yogi for taking part in Rathotsav and says that as a chief minister he should not take part in such events.

Suddenly during the speech, Prakash Raj makes derogatory comment on the renowned and popular festival of Hindus 'Ramleela'. Prakash says that such events should not happen in the country. In the process he also says that Ramleela is like child porn.

The actor says to the anchor of the TV channel that he is not comfortable with such cultural events. When the anchor counters him saying that why it should not be done as people like it, Prakash Raj suddenly says "Will you not ask if children watch child porn. Will you leave it? It is dangerous for society. Events like Ramleela are dangerous for the society. It is appeasement. It instills fear among the minorities. What the UP government did instilled fear in us. I am not comfortable with it."

Prakash Raj tells the anchor that our culture is going to temple and not making drama. When the anchor again asks him that these are his personal views and not that of the society, Prakash Raj says that he is very clear in his belief of what culture is and what is not.

Prakash Raj, who is also known as Prakash Rai, was defeated in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
