Dubai, Oct 12: Dubai expat Jahir Sarkar's plea in twitter against an Egyptian who took away his passport and kept it as collateral against a bank loan has gone viral on Twitter.

As per the tweet to the Dubai Police, Jahir Sarkar said that he had been brought to Dubai by an Egyptian and got his visa stamped for a period of two years. The Egyptian took a loan for Jahir after getting the visa stamped and took all the money instead of giving him.

Jahir also complained that the Egyptian placed his passport as a collateral/guarantee against the bank loan. He said he is in big trouble since his UAE visa had expired more than a year ago.

Dubai Police have reached out to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in UAE. The ministry has asked Sarkar to give them an elaborate explanation about his problem. The Dubai Police thanked Jahir Sarkar for reaching out to them.
