Maharashtra: Don Bosco Parish Konkani Association celebrates Monti Fest

Maharashtra, Oct 10: The Konkani Association of Nashik celebrated the 'Monti Fest' (The Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary) on September 28, 2019, at Don Bosco Parish Nashik in a joyful and a wonderful manner.

The celebration of 'Monti Fest' started at 6:45 pm with the offering of flowers to Mother Mary near the grotto Quadrangle with Konkani hymns by the choir of the Holy Cross Parish, followed by a procession to the church.

The mass celebration started with an introduction by Henry Menezes, the main organizer of the fest.

Fr Vishal Melwin Monis, the parish priest of Our Lady of Fathima Church, Peruvai who had come all the way from Mangaluru, celebrated the Holy Mass along with parish priest Fr Ivan, Fr Benzello Fr Terence and Fr Elias and more than 300 faithful parishioners from Nashik with the support of melodious choir of Don Bosco Salesian Brothers and Capuchin brothers.

Parish priest Fr Ivan thanked Fr Vishal who celebrated holy mass and those who took initiative to make this feast very devotional and fruitful.

A heartfelt thanks to Robert Cardin for giving the vote of thanks. Rajesh Fernandes for the video recording and Henry Menezes and his team for arranging the delicious fellowship meal.

The Konkani Association of Nashik takes this opportunity to thank each and everyone for participating and making this 'Monti Fest' a wonderful family fest and a grand success.
