Mangaluru, Oct 8: Friends Ballalbagh Biruver Kudla led by Uday Poojary and Rakesh Poojary is one of the most reputed organizations in Mangaluru, especially during Dasara celebrations, where they conduct tiger dance performance for a noble cause.
Biruver Kudla’s tiger dance, which is known for its innovativeness is the special attraction during the yearly Dasara celebrations. Biruver Kudla took out their tiger troupes in a procession from Ballalbagh to Kudroli Temple.
Tiger troupes performed at Kudroli Temple and there was special attraction of huge bull. Then the troupe moved to Kadri Temple where there was performance under the leadership of Ganesh Bangera from G B Construction.
They will have performance at Kadri Grounds, which will attract the crowds from Kadri and other parts. Every year there is downfall in tiger troupes of other groups, but Biruver Kudla has always remained in the forefront in strength and has been constant performer during Dasara, which attracts large number of people.
The tiger troupes have painted themselves with the Narayana Guru philosophy of one caste, one religion and one God.
