Over 50% Indians feel Job situation getting worse: RBI Survey

New Delhi, Oct 6 (Agencies) : The Indian consumers' confidence in the overall economic situation and the employment scenario dropped to a six-year low in September, according to Reserve Bank of India (RBI)'s latest monetary policy, according to the report published by News18 media.

Both the current situation index and the future expectations index recorded declines, the RBI said in its consumer sentiment survey report. The Current Situation Index (CCI) dropped to 89.4 in September from 95.7 recorded in the July round of survey, the RBI data, released on Friday, showed.

News 18 media reports, Of the total respondents, 47.9 per cent said the general economic situation had worsened and only 33.5 per cent thought the situation had improved. About 53 per cent expected the situation to improve in one year.

A total of 52.5% felt the employment situation had worsened and 33.4% said the situation would only get worse in the coming year.

“Respondents perceived an increase in the price level over the last one year and a majority of them expect prices to rise further in the coming year; as a result, sentiments on overall spending as well as essential spending remain strong, though sentiments on discretionary spending weakened,” said the survey.

The survey was conducted in 13 major cities, among 5,192 households.

There is nothing wrong with this govt. Mr. Modi has competed the remaining job of vallab bai Patel by scrapping article 370 of J&K. No other PM had the courage to do that so far. The economy will improve step by step. let us cooperate with PM for better future.

Lets hope that we won't end up labeling RBI as anti-national. As readers say that even Pakoda selling business has become unstable due to Onion price, some others have proposed its better to sell Pakoda with Tea to get good profit. How can pakoda loss be overcome with selling Tea? Even you can't mention about selling tea as if the word Tea is patented by tea seller.
Now we might squarely blame Petroleum selling countries or speak about terrorists infiltrating our borders. Then all idiots will say we are safe as present PM is our redeemer and savior and protector.

Friends, let us keep away politics here. The survey, that showed here is real and we have to be prepared for the future. The job situation about our Mangalore educated people is not that alarming, since our education system is intact. In India, when PhD's are applying for any type of jobs, the things are alarming.

In the present gloomy period, we have to be careful when spending. Invest only in reputed or govt banks and never in fly by night societies and co-operative banks. Also, our brethren in gulf should think that the time changes rapidly and should try to control the expenses of their families in India. We may become 5 trillion economy, but while dividing by our population, what is our per capita income in front of other nations

Honestly Indians should not blame the BJP govt. Modi fought the 2019 elections on nationalism, Hindu-Muslim and Pragya Thakur had clearly said she stood in elections not to clean gutter but to teach Muslims a lesson. So why now Indians are expecting good economy from BJP. In fact BJP is delivering on its promising by regularly killing Minorities on streets in the name of Gau-raksha.
