Unmanned aerial vehicle crashes in Chitradurga - No casualties reported

Chitradurga, Sep 17: On Tuesday, September 17, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) belonging to Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) crashed in an agriculture field in Chitradurga district.

The crash was the result of a failed trial, however, the incident caused a major jolt to the villagers of Chillenahalli where the crash took place.

Fortunately, there was no one hurt in the incident and no casualties were reported. Besides, the crash managed to create a lot of commotion. Superintendent of police Arun K gave the confirmation that there were no casualties in and around the areca nut farm, the site of the crash.

Although DRDO has not officially commented on the incident, as per sources, the trial of an aerial vehicle called 'Rustom-2' was being done.
