Mangaluru: Family of Konkani singer late Jerry Bajjodi needs your generous help

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SB)

Mangluru, Sep 14: It is more than 10 days after the sudden demise of music composer and singer Jerald Oswald D’Souza, popularly known as Jerry Bajjodi. The family members and music lovers of Mangaluru are not yet recovered from the shock of his untimely death and are still in the process of recollecting their fond memories of him.

Jerry Bajjodi passed away on September 3 at the age of 51. He collapsed during a stage show, due to cardiac arrest, while singing a popular Kannada song, in a Ganeshotsava event that was held at Bejai in the city.

Jerry Bajjodi was the only bread winner of the family. After his demise, the entire family, including wife Laveena, children Jeslita, Joyston and Lozita have literally become orphans. Despite his musical shows, Jerry used to undertake small painting contract works within the city to take care of his family’s expenses. Majority of Jerry’s friends and relatives know about his poor financial condition and many have showed sympathy over his family when he passed away. Some of his friends collected some emergency amount through WhatsApp groups and his close aides handed over the amount to the family the very next day of Jerry’s funeral so that the family could survive for some days at least.

Jeslita, one of the daughters of Jerry, is doing her graduation, while son Joyston and one more daughter Lozita are studying in primary schools in city. Jerry’s wife Laveena is a home maker. The family is living in an old house at Bajjodi, near Nanthoor in the city. After the sudden demise of the family’s bread winner, the entire responsibility of children, their studies, and other expenses of running the family, are on the shoulders of Laveena, who is devastated by her husband Jerry’s sudden and untimely death. Apart from this, Lozita, the younger daughter, requires an ear surgery, which is suggested by doctors when she was born. Due to the poor financial condition of the parents, the surgery is still not performed on the little one.

The family of singer and composer late Jerry has requested the kind-hearted readers of our website and donors to help them financially in order to live a normal life. The financial support will give a second life and mental strength to Laveena and her children. The family is in desperate need of the financial support and also prayers.

Those who wish to help them may send their contributions to the bank account of Laveena, details of which are given below:

Agree but I think her children are little so she still has lots of work at home as a house wife. I believe she would need financial support for next few years until children grow up.
